In August 2021, Roberto Baldoni has been appointed by the Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi as first Director General of the National Cybersecurity Agency (NCA) established by Decree Law 82/2021. Since January 2018, he has been Deputy Director General of the Department of Information for Security in charge of development of National Cybersecurity Architecture and of the mitigation of cyber-attacks impacting national security. Baldoni has also been the national contact point of EU NIS Directive and of NATO for cyber policy issues. Roberto Baldoni is Full Professor of Computer Science on leave from University of Rome La Sapienza.
